  1. You won’t be bored anymore. When you try new foods and add new tastes to your diet, you’re going to stop being bored and more open to continuing to try new things. When you are stuck in a rut with your food, you can make new recipes from the same basics that you enjoy eating.
  2. It’s versatile. There is no such thing as boring ingredients, only new ways to use them. You can change the way that meat tastes and even redo the way that veggies taste to you. Vegetables turn into brand new foods with the right spices on top – you just have to discover which spices will work.
  3. You’ll discover things you like that you didn’t know you could! You know what foods you like and which foods feel safe right now, but unless you’re willing to try out new foods, you’re going to struggle to branch out. Getting too comfortable will prevent you from wanting to try new food in the first place.
  4. Traveling the world from your kitchen. You might not have tried an authentic Indonesian curry before, but with the help of the internet you can learn the recipes that matter and create that curry from scratch. You can get to be involved in new cultures simply by scouring recipe books!
  5. You’ll build skills. Learning to cook is like anything else: it’s a science. It takes time to learn and once you do, you build on those skills and deepen your understanding about which flavors compliment one another and which ones don’t.
  6. You have a choice. There are so many foods out there for you to try that realistically, you can never run out. You want to be able to choose from any combination of foods and flavors and discover new ones along the way – it’s an amazing way to experience new things.
  7. It’s going to taste good. You need to add more flavor to your life and the best way to do it is while you try new foods. You are going to have more space in your life to be creative and it’s all because you choose to try new food.
