I received a Guisto Sapore Authentic Italian Panettone. This a a Italian sweet bread studded with raisins and candied orange peel.
When I opened the box, I was surprised that the bread looked like a huge muffin!
The Giusto Sapore Authentic Italian Panettone was very easy to slice.
I served the sweet bread, toasted and buttered to my husband for breakfast and he loved it!
The sweet bread would be great to use for french toast or in a french toast casserole. I would bet it would make a great bread pudding, as well.
It would be an easy breakfast for the children to help make for Mother’s Day or Father’s Day when breakfast in bed is very popular!
I was also lucky enough to receive two delicious Giusto Sapore Torrone. A Torrone is a soft nougat and nut confection.
Torrone starts with a base of nougat, almonds and hazelnuts. I received the lemon and pistachio flavors. Both of the Torrones tasted awesome. There are twenty different flavors to chose from:
Fruit flavors: lemon, tropical, sour cherries,country berries, and strawberry
Nut lovers: hazelnut, almond, Gianduja(chocolate hazelnut),pistachio, and an almond and hazelnut combination
Desserts: tiramisu, raspberry and chocolate, Zabaione(sweet custard and wine), Creme Catlana(Spanish brulee) , chocolate with orange peel, dark chocolate, coffee, mascarpone, rum and raisin, and amaretti(amaretto cookies and apricot)
All these flavors of Torrone sound great and what a great gift they would make for any occasion including Mother’s Day and Father’s Day! (which are quickly approaching)
There is definitely a flavor for everyone.
