Easter has always been a major holiday in our family. It represents a major event in our religious beliefs but most of all, it’s a time when our family gets together for an Easter feast. This year we will be celebrating Easter with just our immediate family but it doesn’t make this time any less stressful. I still feel the need for planning and staying on track and that alone can be stressful enough. However, it doesn’t have to be.

One thing that helps me make a successful meal is keeping the kids involved. I usually have them doing easy jobs like washing off veggies, keeping the counters clean, and setting the table while dad and I do the grunt work. This helps to take some of the extra stress off of us while teaching the girls the value of working together as a team. They don’t mind helping mom and they love being involved in the process.

One item that is an absolute must have for Easter dinner is ham. Last year I didn’t get the ham quite right and it left me a little stressed for time and patience. This year I’ve elected to have a ham that’s already prepared from HoneyBaked Ham which saves time and is much less expensive than I thought. Their mini ham is the perfect size for our family of five and is just as delicious as a ham I would have prepared on my own. It comes fully cooked so all you have to do is either serve room temperature or heat it up in the oven.

The smoked turkey at HoneyBaked Ham is juicy, delicious, and makes a perfect pair to your ham. Just add a couple HoneyBaked Ham side dishes (which are very delicious by the way!) and a homemade salad or vegetable and you have a complete Easter meal that took little to no effort! Leaving you with extra time to spend with your family and less time in the hot kitchen. I couldn’t keep my hands off of the sweet potato souffle and would highly recommend for you to give it a try if you ever get a chance.  Find a HoneyBaked Ham in your area and save $5 off $50 valid until 4/4 by clipping this money saving coupon.

We like to spruce our Easter table up with simple decorations that don’t cost a pretty penny. We use a couple things that we already have around the house along with a few inexpensive items from the store. I had a few mason jars laying around the house so I bought a few of the plastic Easter eggs and a disposable table cloth. Then I filled two mason jars with Easter eggs and put a family collage on the table to add simple but cute decorations.

There is no need for me to stress this year when it comes to preparing a delicious holiday dinner. Thankfully we will be surviving Easter dinner with HoneyBaked Ham from now on!!
