Day 3 of this challenge is going to be a recap of July 2. As you all know (from day 2 post), I started a two week weight loss challenge and yesterday was day 1. I have to say I am very proud of myself for starting off on the right foot. Taking a long break from exercising really showed how out of shape I was today. Gladly, I had my husband beside me working out and supporting me all the way. It was only fifteen minutes of working out but it really felt like an eternity. I so desperately wanted it to be over every thirty seconds. After it was over I felt accomplished and out of breathe at the same time. I know that it is going to take some time to get my body used to working out again but I refuse to give up. One day at a time is my plan as well as having my support system (hubby) by my side. We will continue to work out and eat better together.
I think I did pretty good with eating healthy today too although I know I did not do well with eating enough. I will do much better tomorrow. For breakfast I had two eggs, a V8, and some water. For lunch I had a taco salad from taco bell with just the lettuce, tomato, cheese, chicken, and no shell. Dinner was skipped only because I ate my lunch so late but that will not happen again for the remaining two weeks, I promise!! I drank nothing but water and plenty of it. Juice, soda, and alcoholic drinks were off limits and I am extremely proud of myself so far.
This morning, I took my beginning weight and measurements and have set a goal for next week. The only thing I am worried about is how well I will do on the July 4th holiday. I am going to a cookout at my uncle’s house and I know there will be a lot of food there that could sabotage my efforts so early in the game. Anyway, below you can find my beginning weight and where I hope to be at next week. If I am not where I want to be it’s okay, I understand that it is not going to happen overnight. Although I would love it to it just doesn’t work that way. Day 1 was a great day and I look forward to the rest of the two week challenge. I will be sure to keep you all updated everyday on how I am doing.
Beginning weight – 226 (ugh!) Next week goal weight – 223
Beginning waist – 44 Next weeks goal – 43
Wish me luck!!

I’m working on losing and I have been looking at it a different way. I have no goal of when I want to lose the weight I just want to lose it. I don’t worry about how much I lost or didn’t lose as long as that number keeps going down and not back up. Doing pretty good so far I’m able to get into my old jeans 2sizes down and I have lost 2 cup sizes in bra’s which I’m so happy about.
