My husband loves a good cider and recently had the pleasure of reviewing Sonoma Cider. We were sent three bottles, each a different flavor for his tasting pleasure. Sonoma ciders are certified organic, made with all natural gluten free ingredients, and according to the hubby, taste great!

The company was founded in 2013 by David Cordtz (a 20 year veteran cidermaster and winemaker), Robert Cordtz (Davids’ Son), and craft beverage guru Fred Einstein (VP of Sales). Sonoma Ciders are made with distinctive proprietary flavors and are certified USDA organic. Each batch is handcrafted to unleash fresh apple aromas, complex fruit flavors, and result in a clean, refreshing hard cider.
Sonoma cider comes in three different flavors: pitchfork, hatchet, and anvil. All three come in a 12 oz 4 pack for $10.99 or 22 oz single bottle for $7.99. Anvil has an organic bourbon flavor and was the hubby’s least favorite. He said it had a more bitter beer flavor instead of hard cider and wasn’t necessarily his cup of tea. If you are more of a lager drinker, then this might be right up your alley.
Both pitchfork and hatchet were pleasing to the hubby’s taste and the hatchet was his favorite. I am not a hard cider drinker but I have to admit, this smelled and tasted pretty good. Hatchet has a unique blend of US certified organic apples with ripe apple aromas. Pitchfork is infused with the essence of pear and offers a fresh ripe pear and apple aroma. Both Sonoma hard ciders have just the right kick to get hubby where he needed to be and great to have on hand this summer when you want to unwind after a long work week.
