Amrita Sen Cosmic and Eternal Love Coloring Book Review

The Cosmic and Eternal Love Coloring Book by Amrita Sen is no ordinary coloring book. Sen weaves a traditional Indian love story into incredibly detailed black and white drawings that makes this book a joy to color. Cosmic and Eternal Love truly engages all of the senses. It is the Hardcover and it is 10 X 10″ and has 96 pages. We were all raised up seeing coloring books for children but now it’s our turn , this coloring book by Amrita-Sen is a lovely well made book that takes us on a adventure with Radha and Krishnain . It has captured me and it is very hard to put the book away. It is very well Illustrated and is captivating for anybody . The pictures are so beautiful when they are colored, I used coloring gel markers but you can use coloring pencils also.

Amrita is a multi-talented artist who debuted her jewelry and illustrations at Art Basel in Miami, sponsored by Illy Coffee and presented by Timbaland. She was trained as a visual artist but also holds degrees from The Wharton School of Business and an MBA from Harvard Business School history. On the music side, you may remember Amrita from the performance of ” Jai Ho” at the 2009 Academy Awards, where she performed the winning song from the movie Slumdog Millionaire with music legend AR Rahman. Amrita has also performed as lead singer on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Oprah Winfrey Show, and at the Hollywood Bowl, accompanying the Los Angeles Philharminic.

Cosmic and Eternal Love features 98 pages of colorable designs, including 48 two-page spreads. Through the intricate black and white drawings and written words (as part of one of the coloring pages in each spread) Amrita tells her version of a classic Indian tale: a Hindu myth about love. This love story isn’t about being married or being with someone but about being linked from the soul. The main characters of the story, Radha and Krishna, are not connected in the traditional sense of love; their love is more of an example of everlasting faith.

Colorists and beginners alike will enjoy the unique and intricate illustrations, and the story and music are perfect accompaniments for an all-encompassing coloring experience. I hope you enjoy The Cosmic and Eternal Love Coloring Book by Amrita Sen as much as I am enjoying it.
