I am not a runner. I wish I was, I keep trying to be, but it just isn’t in the cards. However I was blessed with a LOT of hair… unfortunately it is very fine hair, and does not like to stay confined in a ponytail, braid, bun, anything to keep it out of my face. I resort to bandanas and head bands that constantly slip off and need to be readjusted. I have tried so many different ‘no slip’ brands to get a headband that stays on, keeps the hair out of my face and lets me go about my daily business. So if a headband can’t stay put in a normal day to day environment, how can any runners consider using them when they are constantly bounding down the pavement?
Enter the HeadBand. These cute and stylish bands come in a variety of style and pattern. They fit on snugly without being too tight, and best of all, they stay PUT. I used one of these OneUp Bands when I was working at a Farmer’s Market. On a really really hot day. I was able to do all the lifting, bending, walking around, without having to readjust it once. And my hair stayed out of my face!
The Non-slip was exactly that, non slip! Take that expensive drug store brands. The Tieback wasn’t as snug, but did a great job when I was doing chores around the house. Kept my hair in line and it was much more comfortable than the bandanas I was using. Oh and did I mention they have a line of fleece bands to help keep you warm in the winter.
I love how these bands are made in the USA, and come from a company with high values. And if none of the many styles they offer are not to your taste, you can even customize them! What a great way for a charity team to show their teamwork other than the usual shirts, everyone having their very own OneUp Band! So consider them if you want to try for a true Non-Slip headband, so far mine hasn’t budged and I have been walking all over the neighborhood. Maybe someday soon I can upgrade to a jog and then really make sure these headbands keep my hair out of my sweaty face.
Disclaimer: I received three OneUp Bands in return for my honest review. The words stated here are my honest opinion.
