I’m excited for the upcoming month of March because that means Easter is right around the corner. I enjoy making baskets for the girls especially because I can personalize it the way that I like. I don’t go with the usual store bought baskets because number one, they cost too much, and two, they give off the appearance that there is more inside then there actually is. By making my own, I can add more to each basket, and stretch my buck further. There is so much more that you can do when you make your own Easter baskets and the kids always love my creativity. Below you can find my top 5 Easter basket gift ideas, and maybe you can find some inspiration of your own.
1. Add their favorite toy or book. My kids are always asking for different toys and books all year round. I like to add a small or medium sized toy that they have either asked for recently or one that wasn’t purchased from their holiday list. You can even add a gift certificate to Pley so they can rent a different toy every month. That way, once they get bored with the toy, they can return it and try something different. It’s a win, win, for both the child and the parent. They have everything from doll clothes, remote toys, electronics, and more!
2. Candy: My girls all have certain candy that they all love together and some that they personally like. I do add it sparingly and let other items in the basket shine.
3. Small water bottles or juice box wrapped with a cute Easter printable. This is one that I haven’t tried yet but I have seen some great ideas posted on Pinterest. I think this would be a great idea for me to try this year plus it adds a cute little touch and can be printed right from your own home.
4. Snacks: In addition to candy, snacks are always a good option for me. It adds a fullness to the basket and gives the girls something to munch on after a great Easter service.
5. Writing utensils: I love to add either coloring books, crayons, notepads, pens, etc. to my girls baskets. They love coloring and writing so this works great for me. Plus the items are pretty inexpensive and lots of time I find them on clearance and put them away until holidays like this come around.
