Ever wonder what to get a person who has it all for Christmas? Sometimes you have to get creative and think outside of the box. Why not make a simple DIY gift with the help of The New Jersey Lottery? I know what you’re thinking. I’m not a DIY person and it’s going to be time consuming. However, you’ll be surprised with the cool things you can come up with just a few items. Plus, your gift recipient will be more than excited knowing your gift gives them a chance to win a little (or big) cash!

The New Jersey Lottery has some brand new scratch and win games right in time for your holiday gift giving. They come in 4 new games, $1 Holiday Cheer, $2 Holiday Luck Times 10, $5 Holiday Sparkle, and $10 Season’s Gold. Top prizes range from $2,000 to $1,000,000 so this is a gift that truly keeps on giving! No need to wrap up this gift and with only a few simple steps, you can make a unique gift that they’ll love, taking the holiday stress off of your shoulders. Just head to your local brick and mortar lottery retailer where tickets are sold and you can have beautiful DIY NJ Lottery gifts made in no time!

I was sent some holiday instant tickets to make a couple homemade gifts that only take a few minutes to make and are absolutely adorable. Most of the items I already had at my house since I love to create crafty items to give gifts my own personal touch.

The first item I made was a cute little gift basket using 6 of the $2 Holiday Luck Times. Just fold 5 of them to make a box, overlapping one ticket over the last one to close it. Either tape or staple them together to close your box ( I used staples since I couldn’t find tape). Once you have the box together, you’re going to need to make a bottom so your gift bag won’t fall through. Tape another ticket on to the bottom for your finishing touch. For a more secure bottom, place a piece of cardboard in the bottom that’s the same shape and length of your box.

Once your gift box is made, you can now add a small gift bag. I used a clear party favor bag but you can use whatever color you’d like. I like mines to be transparent since I want my recipient to get a glimpse of what’s inside. Fill your gift bag with goodies that your loved one would like. I added a cute little stuffed cow, chocolates, crackers, sunflower seeds, and more holiday instant tickets. Means more potential winnings for them!! Once you’ve filled your gift bag, just add a last minute touch with your favorite ribbon and you’re done! Easy as pie and it’s something special that they’ll like.

My second DIY gift only took a few minutes to complete. Mason jars are one of the easiest items to make gifts with and anyone can do it! Just grab your favorite mason jar in the size that you prefer, fill with some Holiday instant tickets and a few candies. I cut some colored felt (only $.33 at my local Walmart) and added it to the lid, tied some ribbon around, closed the lid, and added some cute little stickers to the front and back of the jar. That’s it. Simple, fast, and inexpensive, and stress free!

I’ll be making more of these items with my leftover tickets and handing them out to my favorite relatives as gifts. I can’t wait to see their faces light up and to find out if they are a winner. They’ll love the thoughtfulness and creativity that went into their gift and I’m happy knowing this is definitely not a gift that will be thrown out! Holiday Instant tickets are a gift that I’d be more than cheerful to receive this holiday. If I were a winner, I’d buy something special just for me for a change. How about you?!!
