Gluten Free diets are more and more common, as people struggle with the heavily processed foods we come into contact. Crackers are a favorite in many households, but with gluten sensitivity on the rise, many people need to forgo this crunchy little treat. However thanks to Free for All – there are now crackers on the market that will tickle your taste buds while leaving the gluten behind.
I was lucky enough to try three flavors, Roasted Garlic and Rosemary, Olive Oil and Seasalt, and Olive Oil and Herb. While they do not have the crispiness of traditional crackers, they have almost a cookie like texture, they are fantastic when paired with cheese and toppings. My favorite was the Olive Oil and Herb, which I paired with some cream cheese and a tomato and pepper jelly I make at home. It was a great combining of the two flavors.
I think the softer texture of these crackers put my husband off them a bit, but the kids gobbled them up like any other cracker out there. For folks who are sensitive to gluten, these are a great option. Think about putting some of these out on a cheese platter when you are entertaining so everyone present can enjoy crackers, even those who thought they were out of their diet forever! While I am not gluten sensitive, I could see myself snacking on these, but I definitely like to add a topping rather then eat them straight up. Give them a try and see if they fit into your lifestyle.
