Today marks the official first day of summer. Yay!! To celebrate and enjoy the warm weather, we took the girls out to our local community playground. They sure didn’t mind and wasted no time getting their play on. While they played on the swings, enjoyed the slide, monkey bars, and more, hubby shot around a couple hoops. A win for everyone. I snapped a few pictures to show you our fun day at the park. Hopefully you enjoyed your first day of summer and got in some playground time with the kids too!
The girls always love a trip to the playground and I enjoy watching them having fun playing. They are always making new friends plus I love how friendly they are and how easily they adjust to different children their age. I love seeing the smiles on their faces while they play and use their imaginations. It’s so important to our family to have days like this. It keeps the kids active and from becoming bored in the house. It’s always great to get a break from electronics and get them moving.
Today was a great day to head out and enjoy a family day at the park. It was fun, free, and the temperature was just right. There was a nice little breeze to take our mind off of the mild heat and the bugs weren’t too bad. I encourage you to head over to your local park this summer with the kids. Looks like they are having a ball. It’s so important to make sure our kids get outdoors and enjoy playing on the playground. It won’t hurt to let go of those gadgets and turn off the TV’s , we did it. We played all day at the parks!!
