Is your yard spring and summer ready? If not, do you have the necessary tools to start getting it into order? I was taught at an early age the beauty of a well taken care of yard but the process isn’t always easy. Freshly cut grass is a great place to start maintaining your yard and getting it ready for the warmer months.
There are many types of mowers, but petrol mowers are one of the lawn mowers I grew up seeing my father and brothers use. These are powered by gasoline, are fairly easy to use, and allow you to mow without the restraint of cords. They do require routine maintenance (changing engine oil, replacing spark plugs and air filters) but these are minor.
The thing I love most about petrol mowers vs. electric mowers is the ability to cut my grass nonstop. I don’t have to worry about a cord in the way of having to change the battery in between. Electric mowers have their advantages too, don’t get me wrong. However, I am the type of person who likes to get stuff done in one shot (or most of it). Our yard is not too large so this isn’t hard to accomplish when using a petrol mower.
Whatever your preference is when it comes to lawn mowers and your yard, it’s a beautiful thing when you step back and look at your finished work. Once your grass is cut, you can get started on other things like pulling weeds, trimming bushes, edging, planting your favorite flowers, and more outside work that help beautify the outside of your home. You can feel a huge accomplishment when people pass by your yard and take in the wonderful scenery.
The weather here on the east coast will be soon begin to break and I’m ready to give my yard some extra tender loving care. How about you??
