I don’t usually do book reviews because honestly, I’m not much of a book reader. I don’t know what changed between childhood and adulthood because I used to love reading as a child even into my teens. I do read books every now and then but nothing really long, not until After.
This post wasn’t initially supposed to be a review but once the book arrived and I read the back, I got really interested in knowing what would happen with these two characters, Tessa and Hardin. Once I started, I found myself getting lost in a good book and could barely put it down. Two days and a finished After book later, I found myself wanting more and I’m now on the second edition “After We Collided”. While I understand, this book may not be for everyone, I loved it! It does have a lot of foul language and detailed adult scenes but it was so much more than that.
The After series tells the story of Tessa Young, an optimistic freshman at Washington State University, and the dark, troubled British bad boy who has stolen her heart. Hardin is so rude and cruel at times, yet Tessa can’t seem to get enough of him and is continually finding her way back to him. Every chapter seemed to keep me on the edge of my seat and the ending definitely was not suspected. I mean, I know Hardin had lots of secrets but nothing could have prepared me for what would happen. Anna Todd definitely does a great job at keeping the suspense going from beginning to end. On Wattpad, After has over 1 billion reads, and I can see why. I’m hooked! After available for purchase at Barnes & Noble and for your E-reader. If you haven’t read a great book in a while, I highly recommend giving the #AfterSaga a spin.
