My house is filled with just about all girls and we all have long, thick, curly hair. It can be a pain trying to comb through our hair and detangling it with the brushes and combs we have usually cause a lot of breakage. Thankfully, we were recently offered a chance to review the Genie Supreme from Knot Genie.

The Knot Genie is two-fold: 1) the bristles vary in length, so hair glides through it; and 2) there are no little balls at the end of each bristle, which pull and damage hair. I have to admit, I was a little skeptical about the Genie Supreme and if it would work on our hair. Many products claim to work on ethnic hair but when you use them, it turns out to be the total opposite and a disappointment. That was not the case with the Genie Supreme. I was very impressed with how well it worked. I was able to brush through our hair in half the usual time. There was little to no breakage while brushing and I love how it doesn’t pull on my hair or hurt.
The design of the Genie Supreme is absolutely adorable and the handle is my favorite part. I don’t hear any complaints from the girls when using this and getting them to sit still while doing their hair is no longer a struggle. Since the summer months have rolled in, we do a lot of activities that involve water and going to the beach. Now that I have the Genie Supreme, I don’t worry about them getting their hair wet and having to wash it. I now keep my Genie Supreme close for easy detangling when it’s needed.
