What a wonderful Mother’s Day surprise from Kobrand Spirits & Wines,  these wines are some of the best wines you can have and they are hand selected brands representing virtually every major wine region of the world and its most iconic specialty spirits. Kobrand attributes its success to a single guiding principle that describes the people, products and relationships behind it: quality.  The portfolio is a collection of gems of New World and Old, including American wineries such as Cakebread Cellars, Sequoia Grove and St. Francis as well as the wines of European masters such as Champagne Taittinger and Maison Louis Jadot and the Portos of Taylor Fladgate, Fonseca and Croft. The legendary Sassicaia from Italy’s Tenuta San Guido and the wines of Craggy Range in New Zealand are relatively new additions that will stand the test of time. The spirits portfolio includes the original Alizé liqueurs as well as fine Cognacs, Armagnacs and other premium spirits.  Wonderful wines for any occasion or just to enjoy at home.

The Seeker Sauvignon Blanc ,  These Sauvignon grapes were discovered in not one but two of New Zealand’s best Sauvignon Blanc vineyard sites for extra zest. New Zealand expert Steve Smith, MW, sourced grapes from Marlborough on the south island for round and full juicy nectarine and grapefruit flavors, and from Martinborough on the north island to add richness and citrus/lime flavors. Grapes are destemmed, pressed and cold-settled overnight. Cool fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks to capture fruit purity. Aged on fine lees to add weight and richness, the lots are then blended, gently fined and filtered.

Tasting Note: Aromas of citrus, stone fruit and freshly cut grass. This wine has a refreshing and vibrant palate with flavors of lime, grapefruit and sweet summer herbs leading to a long and juicy finish.

Food Pairing: Ideally suited to shellfish, salads, citrus-sauced dishes, ocean voyages and park blanket reconnaissance.

Caposaldo Moscato IGT , Caposaldo Moscato comes from the cool, maritime climate of Provincia di Pavia in northern Italy’s Lombardy region. Here the 20-year-old guyot-trained vines benefit from the blend of white marl and chalk soils in the low-yielding hillside vineyards. Grapes are handpicked, and after a temperature-controlled fermentation the wine undergoes a natural second fermentation in autoclave, resulting in a fine, persistent effervescence.

Tasting Note: Bright golden yellow in color, this wine delivers an assertive bouquet with exotic fruit and spice aromas and a fresh, vivacious and highly polished palate.

Food Pairing:  Enjoy with fresh fruits, fruit pies and tarts.

The Seeker Pinot Grigio ,  These Pinot Grigio grapes were discovered in northern Italy’s Veneto region, where hillside vineyards sit 750 feet above sea level on well-drained, mineral-rich, volcanic basaltic rock and calcareous clay soils. Hand-harvested grapes are treated gently, from handpicking to the pneumatic press, followed by three weeks of cold fermentation. The wine sees no oak and does not undergo malolactic fermentation, in order to maintain fresh acidity and prominent varietal character.

Tasting Note: Delicate aromas and a dry, crisp, vibrant texture featuring apple, pear, and stone fruit with hints of white flowers and almonds.

Food Pairings: Fresh and crisp, impeccable with seafood, poultry, classic basil pesto, delicate cheeses, and fashioning fantastical photographs.

Caposaldo Prosecco DOC ,  Caposaldo blends a handcrafted, artisanal approach to winemaking with cutting-edge quality standards and techniques. Fruit is hand harvested from 100% DOC-rated 20-year-old vines that yield fewer but more intensely flavored grapes. Vineyards are located on hillsides in Pieve di Soligo, one of the 15 communes allowed for Prosecco production, nestled between the famed DOCG provinces of Conegliano and Valdobbiadine. The wine is crafted using preferred natural fermentation in autoclave, which results in a superior effervescent quality. Like all Prosecco, Caposaldo Prosecco is nonvintage.

Tasting Note : Bright with persistent bubbles, the wine has a fruity aroma of citrus, green apple and acacia blossoms. On the palate, the elegant, brut-style wine has a pleasant acidity and freshness and a soft, round mouthfeel.

Food Pairings:Excellent paired with light cheeses, prosciutto and other antipasti, fried foods, light pastas and desserts.
