$50 Visa Gift Card Giveaway

mom-giveaway

Many of us live a fast paced life. I know I do. We only pay attention to when the sticker says we need our oil changed. Do you know what kind of oil the mechanic is using when it’s changed? This is where MOM (Motor Oil Matters) can help educate you to make sure you are getting the services you pay for. MOM is a NEW consumer education and industry watchdog program by the American Petroleum Institute to stress the benefits of quality motor oil and call out on the people who engage in deceptive practices. A little education goes a long way and also helps to empower you as a consumer when you are at the mechanic’s shop. Isn’t nice to know that someone is watching out for us consumers.

If you are planning a summer trip then you really need to make sure you are receiving quality motor oil in your car to prevent road trip problems. The last thing you want is to have a breakdown out of town. It’s stressful and costly! Also check out those quick Service-locators to ensure they are pouring quality motor oil into your car before you decide on a cheaper deal. Sometimes those quick change places can cost you more in the long run. My husband checks and makes sure everything is up to date but I know everyone doesn’t have that luxury.

For more information you can visit the MOM website and here is a great checklist you can take with you on your next visit!

Yes, because last year delaying our oil change by like 2 months caused us to need a new engine. And yes, it was a brand new car.

The place that changes it always puts a sticker on my windshield to remind me but I don’t always get it changed soon enough.

  4. Angela Kinder says

Oh yes, we keep track of it. One time, my Dad didn’t keep track of it, and it caused the engine to seize up. We learned our lesson!
