We were able to test drive the 2014 Kia Sorento SX Limited AWD for review purposes. All opinions are my own.
Last week we were able to test drive and review the new 2014 Kia Sorento SX Limited AWD. I fell in love with this car as soon as I laid eyes on it. It has a beautiful snow white pearl exterior with black leather interior and rides extremely smooth. I have nothing but good things to say about it. I mean, what can’t this car do? Other than fly and drive itself, pretty much nothing! Everything about it screams perfection. You can really tell Kia took their time in perfecting this one. Don’t believe me? All week I heard nothing but compliments and saw so many heads turn trying to see what it’s all about. So let’s get into the review and i’ll let you be the judge.
First, I want to say, these pictures don’t really do the interior any justice. The inside is superb and had my family and I riding in style. The push button start does not require you to put any keys in the ignition. How awesome is that! I think that is one of my favorite features. As long as you have the smart key with you and in range you can drive. I was completely amazed with this feature and still can’t get over how much cars have evolved.
The 2014 Kia Sorento SX V6 3.3L engine packs enough punch to have you cruising down the highway in style. It picks up quite nicely and not to mention, is great on gas! This baby gets 24 highway miles to the gallon and 18 city miles. A full tank lasted us almost four days, which puts my car to shame. My family and I took a nice trip to Ocean City, NJ enjoying a smooth ride. The third row seating came in handy since my sister in law came along for the ride.
The navigation system was amazing giving us complete and accurate turn by turn directions. It even gives you rest stops and warns you when you are low on fuel. You don’t have to worry about trying to find a place to fill up because it also gives you plenty of gas stations nearby. Don’t know how to get there? It automatically maps your route! It’s impossible to get lost with this navigation system. This came in handy for me because I am extremely bad at directions.
Some other added features are a heated steering wheel, sun and moon roof, surround sound audio system (which sounds amazing by the way), Siruius/XM satellite radio, bluetooth wireless technology, adjustable power driver seats, heated front seats, blind spot detection, and much more. The sun roof is huge and goes all the way back to display a moon roof.
Every control is right at your fingertips, even a button to open the trunk. The drivers side has controls for all the windows plus has a button to keep riders in the back from rolling the windows up and down. This is something else that is helpful for those with kids like myself. Mine love playing with the windows so this gives me total control over that. The blind spot detector alerts you when there is a car on the side of you where you would not be able to see otherwise. Just another feature that makes me say this car is just too cool! If that isn’t enough for you, I guess I shouldn’t leave out the fact that there is also a rear camera display. I have to say, this was a lifesaver, especially at night. Backing up is a breeze when you can see everything that is behind you.
Road trips are now beneficial for the entire family with the 2014 Kia Sorento SX. It’s easy to charge up any electrical device that requires an outlet. Just plug up and go! There are AC vents just about everywhere in the car and allows your backseat riders the option to easily control their vents.
Our family truly enjoyed our family outing with the new 2014 Kia Sorento SX. Everyone was seated comfortably with no complaint heard the entire trip. So my question to you is, what is your favorite feature? I can’t choose, because I love them all!

Great review, I hadn’t considered Kia, but now I’m going to take a second look. I love to wait until they come out with car the really does drive itself, but I don’t think our current beater is going to last that long!
