UBC Day 28: What’s For Dinner?

What’s for dinner tonight at your house? Tonight at mine we are having some home made nachos using mission tortilla chips, ground turkey, shredded taco blend cheese, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, and salsa. Very simple dish to whip up when you are pressed for time. This can also make a great party dish that everyone will love.

Want to know how to make it? It is pretty easy. Just brown your meat and add taco seasoning then cut up some lettuce and tomatoes. In my case I bought some lettuce that was already shredded and ready to go. Choose your favorite dish or tray and line it up with whatever tortilla chips you have. I used Mission because they were pretty inexpensive and less than two dollars a bag plus they taste pretty good. Once you have your chips lined up then top it with your meat. Add cheese and let it sit a few minutes. The heat from the meat should melt the cheese. Feel free to place it in the oven for a few minutes to speed up the process but make sure your dish is safe for the oven. After that you can top with all of your favorite nacho toppings. I added lettuce, tomato, sour cream and salsa. You can swap those out to your liking. After that there is nothing left to do but eat and enjoy!!

This was a huge hit last night at my house and did not take very long to make.
