This summer has been intense with the hottest month still yet to come. Even though we have an air condition and fans in multiple rooms, it’s still been hard to keep cool. We were sent a HoMedics MyChill personal space cooler to test out and thankfully, it’s been helping to make sleeping in my room much more bearable. Before that I had been sleeping in my living room since the heat has been too much to deal with in my room, making falling asleep almost impossible, even with a fan.

The HoMedics MyChill comes in two different models and can cool your space up to 12 degrees. The MyChill personal space cooler provides a 4 foot cooling radius and the MyChill personal space cooler plus provides a 6 foot cooling radius. We received the MyChill and it sits right next to my bed, providing me with the cool air I need to fall asleep in this unruly heat.
Assembling the MyChill personal space cooler was extremely easy. Simply place in a level spot, add water, plug it in and turn it on. Warm air is drawn in and mixes with water in the cooler. All while evaporating the water and dissipating heat, leaving you with cool air flowing. There are also two fan speeds, allowing you to control how much air flows through the system.
The MyChill doesn’t take up much space so it’s perfect for small rooms, dorms, office spaces and more. It won’t cool the entire room but it’s perfect for small areas where you want to cool down and get a break from the heat. The MyChill has definitely been a huge help in conjunction with my fan to make my room a space I don’t dread sleeping in at the end of the night. I’m not waking up in a hot sweat or even finding it completely impossible to get enough rest for work in the morning.
