Delicious wine options no matter what you are serving

Easter is one of the big holidays for our family. And while most of my family is now out of state, I try very hard to meet up for dinner with my parents, kids in tow. I am always wanting to help with the meal, and this year I am happy to be bringing a couple bottles of this fantastic affordable wine to share with my family.

Kobrand Wine & Spirits has a fine collection of wines to suit any palate, but their Seeker brand wines are absolutely fantastic. I had the privileged to try four varieties and they really opened my taste buds to a new expectation of wine.  Their Seeker wines have fantastic labeling that just has a whimsy about it that draws you in.  You just want to know where the journey will take you.  And their wines come from all over the world, so you get to travel without going so far as your liquor store.

skr_riesling_btl_300pxFirst up I decided to try a type of wine I already knew I loved, Riesling.  Mainly Rieslings are very sweet dessert wines, however this bottle was fruity and crisp, very refreshing.  I do not think it would go amiss to serve this with a nice spicy meal.  I love how this wine has a low carbon footprint besides the delicious taste.  Some people recommend serving it warm, but I just adored this chilled.  Even my husband who is normally very against wines did not mind this too much.  Personally I found it to be a fantastic Riesling that will not break the bank.

Second I went for a wine I don’t normally drink.  With the exception of Riesling, I am mostly a red wine girl.  So I gave the Chardonnay a go.  For me I skr_char_btl_300pxfound it very citrusy with a nice tang on the finish.  I feel it would go well with salty foods the best.  It is clean and uncomplicated. A great compliment to a roast ham dinner.  And like all the Seeker brand wines, very affordable.

Back to a type of wine for the third round I am familiar with, I went for the Malbec.skr_malb_btl_300px    As I stated before, I just love red wines.  There is just something about them that keep me going back for more.  Rich and full, they are definitely not made for gulping.  And the Malbec was definitely a perfect red wine for me.  There was definitely a cherry flavor going on, but it would go so well with a prime rib meal.  Just the right hint of sweetness for the perfect table wine.  I prefer my red wine warm, but this one might deepen a little more with a small amount of chill.

Finally I tried the Muscato.  Now I have had pink muscato in the past, found it very sweet.  Sweetness has its place in wine, but for me I would rather have it dry.  However this muscato was fantastic.  A little bit sweet, a little bit tart, with a whole lot of personality.  I am definitely bringing this to Easter this year and serving up some Bellini’s for my mom and myself.  It is a lovely wine that would pair well with anything on your Easter table.
I definitely enjoyed my little journey into wines thanks to The Seeker, they did the hard work by searching all over the world for the best tasting and affordable wines.  And how can anyone resist the whimsy of the labels?  I will definitely be going on a hunt to find more of these delicious wines to broaden my horizons and go on the round the world trip I just can’t afford to take on my own!  Consider any of these wines for your next party, holiday, or get together.  I doubt you will be disappointed.
