Learning Fun For Halloween

Sid the Science Kid Sid’s Spooky Halloween

It’s Halloween!  Join Sid and his friends as they discover how bats catch mosquitoes, why spiders are expert engineer web builders, and how skeletons make up the foundation of our bodies.  The kids dress up to celebrate Halloween at school, and Teacher Suzie leads them in a special Halloween parade song to show off their costumes! With Sid the Science Kid, Halloween can be spooky and scientific!

It’s always fun to learn new things and see the kids expand their minds. I love that this DVD uses the spirit of Halloween to do that. Not only was it funny seeing Sid and his friends dress up for their class on Halloween, but also give us facts we might have not known about each creature. There are definitely some activities that were demonstrated that we will be trying out.

WordWorld Kooky Spooky Halloween

The WordFriends get their share of scares the night  before Halloween, when Pig sleep walks and everyone thinks he’s a ghost!  Then, Sheep is making herself a super special fairy costume to wear for the big Halloween party.  But what will she do when her WordFriends need pieces of her costume for their own use?

I have to admit, this one I ended up watching by myself while the kids were at school. I have been a fan of Word World ever since the first episode aired when my oldest daughter was tiny. Word World is a great learning series that uses words to make up all of the characters and objects and tells a different story in each episode. This episode makes Halloween educational but entertaining for your youngsters. I enjoyed every minute of it so I know my two littlest ladies will too.

The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That! Tricks and Treats

A new spooky adventure this DVD brings, with The Cat, Nick and Sally, Fish and the Things. Meet the eeriest critters you have ever seen, arrived just in time for this Halloween!  There’ll be lots of tricks and, of course lots of treats, to share with the animal friends you will meet! There’s a coconut crab, spider monkeys and bats, and plenty more fun with The Cat in the Hat!

The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That is one of my kids favorites to watch each day. This Halloween feature mixes some great learning facts, rhyming, and entertainment all together in one. It’s no wonder the five year old never moved an inch during this program. Trust me, you won’t believe how hard it is to get the little ones to sit still and pay attention some times. I am glad this DVD was able to grasp their attention and add to the holiday family activities. That silly cat sure does know a lot about that!!

All three movies where so much fun to watch with and without the children so I have a strong feeling you and yours will love it too. Thanks to Ncircle Entertainment one lucky reader will be able to win all three!
